Valuations

Every Valuation must be backed by at least three ViPs. A Valuation is not a price target—it’s your reasoning about what an asset is worth, now or in the future.

Unlike Views and Memos, Valuations don’t live behind a separate menu. The Valuation panel is always present at the top of the screen, ready to expand when you want to contribute or collapse when you don’t. Valuations are entirely optional—many users follow assets, read analyses, and participate in discussions without ever publishing one. You can publish one Valuation per asset and update it over time as your thinking evolves.

When published, your Valuation appears on the Prices & Values graph alongside the community average and John Maven’s baseline, making your reasoning directly comparable to others’.
